NHS Near Me/ Attend Anywhere – email/username update

You will no doubt be aware of the large email migration project currently underway within NHS Scotland that, once completed, will mean most NHS Scotland email addresses that ended in @nhs.net will change to ones ending @nhs.scot.

The migration process will not change the way you log in to NHS Near Me/Attend Anywhere – During and after migration keep using your nhs.net email address as your username in Near Me/Attend Anywhere until the platform offers the ability to change your login email. Until 18th November there will be no issues due to mail migration. Password reset requests will continue to work until then as there is a forward on the nhs.net account that will automatically send the reset email to your new nhs.scot account. This forwarding function will be in place until 18th November 2020.

Once the function to reset your username in Near Me/Attend Anywhere becomes available (expected to be available mid-October) you will be able to change your username email from somebody@nhs.net to somebody@nhs.scot. It will be a simple process. It is important to do this before 18th November when mail forwarding will cease from nhs.net accounts. If you continue with your nhs.net account you will receive no platform notifications and will be unable to request a password reset.

Please remember that if you try to log in with your new nhs.scot email address before you update your email address within the platform you will be unable to login.
