Near Me – Text message invitation error – Resolved

10th April

The fix has been applied and this issue is now resolved.

9th April

Induction have confirmed that the fix will be applied on Wednesday 10th April at 12:01am.

8th April

Induction will issue a fix overnight between Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th April at the latest. Until the fix is in place, Consult Now invitations will have to be sent via email for the calls to progress.

4th April

We are receiving reports of error messages being displayed when Service Providers use the ‘Send invitation’ option to send a link to a Waiting Areas or Consult Now via text message, similar to the message shown below:

Text message not sent error message

Despite the error message the caller does receive the SMS and is able to join the call.

However, whilst Service Providers can join the caller in regular Waiting Areas, they will be unable to progress to the next screen if using Consult Now. For a Consult Now call to work, emails must be used to alert callers rather than SMS text messages.

Until the issue is resolved we suggest sending links via email instead.

Induction Healthcare have been informed and are working to identify the cause and a suitable fix.
