Cisco has a series of low-cost portable VC units.
The devices can be set up as a traditional style codec only able to make calls or with the ability to support a range of android apps. Management and registration of the devices are via Cisco Call Manager for external sites or the NVCS gatekeeper for internal use.
In conjunction with the Technology Enabled Care Programme, these devices can be deployed in care homes. Using a standard internet connection, the devices can provide a secure, low-cost VC solution for external partners.
Within the NHS network, they are ideal portable devices for personal desktops or small groups around a table.
