Due to a suspected cache flushing exercise, a number of platform users will find themselves being asked to set up MFA for the first time beginning this morning.
MFA March 2026
The next platform update, due on the 26th of March, will see Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) added to all NHS Scotland staff using the Near Me service. MFA will remain optional but recommended for non-NHS Scotland Service Providers. MFA simple to activate now by yourself.
MFA is a welcome additional layer of security for your platform account. There will be two methods for receiving or generating the single use codes that will be required to access the platform – email or authentication application. We have further information in our MFA pages.
